Forgiveness is an inside job.

A radical act of self care.

Sometimes, you might have to let the hurt sit in your spirit for a lil while so that you don’t find yourself in the same situation again. But at the end of the day, you gotta let it go.

When you see or think of someone you haven’t forgiven, what's that feel like in your body? Does your chest tighten, jaw clench, or do you go allllll the way outta your way to avoid that person so you don’t have to feel that pain?

You’re letting that person affect your health, emotional well-being and even control your movements. Reclaim your personal power by making a conscious decision to let it go. And here’s a pro tip: If necessary, you can do it without EVER saying a word to them. There’s a difference between forgiveness and reconciliation. Take care of your star player (that’s you!) by practicing forgiveness. (Note: While I believe that forgiveness is always possible, it is not always accessible. And that’s okay, too).

I’m participating @radicalbodylove ’s #SelfCareSeptember photo challenge📷. Today, I cheated 😬. Didn't have a photo to represent, but I’m curious to see what everyone else came up with. I’ll be sharing each day in my stories and created a highlight since they may serve as a bit of an intro to me.

📅During the month of September, I’m committed to helping 50 women create a holistic self-care plan. It’s a 45-minute session, on a pay-what-you-can basis to help you go beyond the basics 💆🏽💅🏽 to truly care for your well-being. Get yours via the Link in bio. .
